Terms and Conditions

Lanzarote Country Villas is a British-owned, Spanish-registered company based in the Canary Island of Lanzarote. It is in the interest of all parties concerned that the following terms and conditions are accepted as a binding agreement. Lanzarote Country Villas reserves the right to alter, modify or cancel any holiday in certain instances. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage of luggage, personal injury, or death. We personally inspect our properties and our photographs and descriptions give our true impressions.

It is in our interests that you enjoy the best possible holiday, booked through Lanzarote Country Villas and, of course, we want you to book with us again in the future. Please do take the time to read the description of your chosen holiday home, and do not hesitate to ask us about anything you are not sure about.

Lanzarote Country Villas have a policy of maintaining properties to a high standard, consequently regular maintenance, pool cleaning and gardening may be carried out during your holiday. We will, whenever possible, ensure that these works do not spoil any part of your holiday.

Travel Insurance
You agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance (including evacuation and repatriation coverage).

Acceptance of Booking
Your reservation is only binding once you have received our written confirmation and we have received your deposit.

Payment of Deposit
When making a reservation we require your completed booking form as acceptance of our terms and conditions, together with payment of any requested deposit. The balance of your account must be paid no later than TEN WEEKS prior to your arrival date. If payment is not received by the due date we may consider your booking cancelled unless an alternative method of payment has been previously agreed between both parties. Lanzarote Country Villas. reserve the right to hold you liable for cancellation charges on any confirmed bookings as per our standard terms.

Last Minute Bookings
In special circumstances, when last minute bookings are taken, the full amount of your total bill is due on the day of booking.

Changing your Booking
Lanzarote Country Villas will endeavour at all times to assist you with any change of plans. However changes that fall within the ten week period of your date of arrival, and where we are unable to accommodate those changes, will be considered as having been cancelled by you.

Cancellation of Booking
If you or a member of your party needs to cancel your confirmed arrangements, the party leader must immediately advise us in writing by recorded delivery, registered post or email. Your notice of cancellation will take effect when it is received at our offices. As we incur costs from the time we confirm your booking, we will levy the following cancellation charges:

70 days or more loss of deposit
Between 69 days and 57 days 50% charge
Between 56 days and 42 days 60% charge
Between 41 days and 29 days 70% charge
Between 28 days and 22 days 80% charge
Between 21 days and 15 days 90% charge
Between 14 days and departure date 100% charge
(including no show at airport)

Cancellation charges are based on the total holiday costs.

Please check your travel insurance policy for their cancellation details as you may be able to re-claim your incurred loss.

Your Accommodation
You can arrive at your accommodation after 4:00 p.m. on the Arrival Date of your holiday and you must vacate the property by 10:00 a.m. on the Departure Date.

If your arrival will be delayed, you must contact the person whose details are given on our booking confirmation so that alternative arrangements can be made. If you fail to do so you may not be able to gain access to the property. If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the Arrival Date and you do not advise the contact of your anticipated late arrival, we may treat the booking as having been cancelled by you.

Length of Stay
We do not accept reservations for longer than 28 days in any property.  We reserve the right to cancel any booking made for longer than 28 days without prior consultation with us.

If cancellation or change by Lanzarote Country Villas is brought about by force Majeure, war, threat of war, riots, civil or common , strikes, disaster, terrorist activities, pandemics, epidemics, acts of Governments, technical problems with transportation, airport closure, alteration or cancellation of scheduled services, or any other event outside the control of Lanzarote Country Villas, refunds and/or compensation of any kind will not be payable. In all such instances we advise you to contact your holiday insurance company.

Service and Price Guarantees
As part of our commitment to quality customer service, we guarantee there will be no surcharge to any of our accommodation charges. You will always pay what has been confirmed to you in writing at time of booking even if charges had to be increased at a later date and before your time of arrival. However, we do reserve the right to vary our prices at any time without notice. It is, therefore, well advised to book your holiday well in advance in order to secure the best possible deal. Failure of main services at our properties, such as water, electricity, wifi, tv or disturbance in the vicinity can happen from time to time and every effort will be made to rectify this if it is within our control.

Theft, Loss or Damage
All our properties are in safe residential areas. However, should you experience a theft, loss, or damage to any of your personal property you are advised to contact the local police immediately. Please ask for assistance should you require it. Please request a written report, which should be completed with the assistance of a recognised Spanish Translator. This will enable you to claim against your travel insurance. All our properties offer small safes for your travel documents and small amounts of cash. We cannot be held responsible if you travel with expensive jewellery or large amounts of cash and please be aware that most holiday insurance companies have a limit on the value of individual items covered. You agree to keep and leave the property and the furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses, bedding and towels clean and in good condition.

You agree not to cause any damage to the walls, doors or windows of the property, nor to do anything that may be reasonably considered to cause a nuisance or annoyance to us or to any other occupier or adjoining or neighbouring properties.

You agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance (including evacuation and repatriation coverage).

You cannot allow more people to stay in the property than is expressly authorised, nor can you significantly change the makeup of the party during your stay in the property. If any of these points are breached, we can refuse to hand over the property to you or we can ask you leave it. We will treat any of these circumstances as a cancellation of the booking by you.

You agree to allow us or any representative of ours access to the property at any reasonable time during your stay for the purpose of essential repairs.

Due to Covid-19 there are some additional measures which you will need to adhere to which will be advised to you on arrival at the property. These are for your safety, as well as our safety.  For example, bedding to be removed by you and placed in to a bag provided, towels also to be placed in to a bag by you. Hand gel to be used on entering the property. Hand gel will be provided.  No-one else to enter the building, other than those stated on the booking, during your stay. Additional safety measures may be in place during your stay and these will be implemented as they need to be.
